This privacy policy covers GraspIO’s collection and treatment of information and data collected when you use GraspIO products, services, or visit GraspIO’s website, community forums, or interact with its social media accounts.

Section 1. Definitions

1.1 “GraspIO” here refers Grasp IO Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

1.2 “Services” means the any and all services and hosted software applications provided by GraspIO, including but not limited to, the GraspIO Studio mobile app, the GraspIO Cloud, GraspIO’s Website, forums, and social media channels, besides any other software services offered by GraspIO.

1.3 “You” means yourself and any entities you represent.

1.4 “Products” means both the physical products produced and sold by GraspIO, including, for example, the GraspIO Cloudio; the firmware, provided by GraspIO, that is programmed onto certain of these physical products, as well as software products like the GraspIO Studio mobile app.

1.5 “Third Party Products” – includes but is not limited to applications, websites, APIs, software, or hardware that interacts with, uses or connects to any GraspIO Products or Services.

1.6 “Website(s)” means any web domains owned, operated, branded or co-branded by GraspIO, including its website and community forum.

Section 2: Information You Provide

We may collect a variety of information that you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information from you through:
·         The Services that you use (Creating an account with GraspIO)
·         Requests for customer support and technical assistance
·         Subscribing to our mailing lists
·         Your participation in sweepstakes, contests, or research
·         Any reviews that you submit about the Services

The specific types of information we collect will depend upon the Service you use, how you use it, and the information you choose to provide. The data provided by you will be used only for the purpose that it was shared with us. For ex – your registered email will be used only to share account and project related updates, the email address used by you for support queries will only be used to address your queries and concerns, etc.

2.1 When You create an account with GraspIO, You provide us with data that includes an email address and password. When You create an account using a social media account, GraspIO receives access to your public profile. This email information is used only to identify your account, save your projects, and to email you with critical account and project-related updates. The account related updates and information include any critical account related updates, feature changes, etc. which might need Your attention or action. Similarly, project-related updates include the emails sent to your registered email ID based on the design of your project. For instance, if the Camera block is used in any of your projects, the captured media will be sent to the registered email address.
This data is stored on secure third-party servers which employ their own physical and network security measures. Currently, this information is stored on web hosting servers maintained by Amazon Web Services, which employs its own physical and network security measures.

A copy of Amazon Web Services' Privacy Policy may be obtained here. GraspIO may also give You the option to voluntarily share other data with us that is connected to your account.
If, at any stage should you choose to delete your account details, you can do so using the Delete Account section of your mobile app. This will delete your account with GraspIO, along with deleting all the projects and media associated with the email address.
To modify this email ID, you can create a new account and share and import your existing projects to this account, before proceeding to delete your current account.

2.2. When You connect a Product (GraspIO Studio app or a GraspIO hardware such as GraspIO Cloudio) to the GraspIO Cloud or to each other, You will be required to identify a network and corresponding network password. This information exists only locally and is only used to connect GraspIO products to each other and/or the GraspIO Cloud via the internet.

GraspIO does not have save or use it for any other purpose than mentioned above. When You connect a Product, a specific Product ID will be sent to the GraspIO Cloud, after which GraspIO will be able to match a specific device ID to your account details.

2.3 Any user content (projects, images, GIFS, videos, etc) created by You as part of projects and applications created using the GraspIO Studio app are linked to your account. Any media content is stored on the GraspIO Cloudio using secure third-party servers only for a period of 7 days after the creation date. This content is owned by you, and is not accessed or used by GraspIO.

2.4. You may choose to contribute and interact on GraspIO Websites including the Website and the forum. You will have the opportunity to choose what information (other than your user name which is not optional) You would like to make public. You may choose whether to display or give out your contact details and other personally identifiable information on the Websites.

2.4.1 When You actively provide information on GraspIO Websites, for example when You post, message or interact on the Forum, GraspIO may retain that data for You for later use only relevant to your said interactions. This data is stored on secure third-party servers, and will not be processed, published, shared, or sold.

2.5 You may actively provide payment details when purchasing Products from GraspIO. GraspIO uses a third-party secure e-commerce site with a Level 1 PCI compliant payment system, for direct online sales. No employees of GraspIO have access to the credit card details associated with these purchases.

Section 3: How GraspIO Collects and Stores Data

3.1 GraspIO collects your user information to enable You to use the GraspIO products and services. This user account information is transmitted using SSL technology and saved on secure third-party servers.
This data is used only for communication related to your account and projects. This data will not be processed, shared, or published.

3.2. GraspIO collects certain data from visitors to GraspIO Websites in order to continuously improve and enhance our customer’s experiences. This data is collected via the following methods:

3.2.1 GraspIO, like many other websites, will store session information (often called “Cookies”) in your browser that will help GraspIO to identify information such as browsing activity, IP addresses and page view order.
You do have the option to not use these Cookies; the majority of browsers will have a “help” tool that will help You to prevent Cookies if You want to, but GraspIO recommends You keep Cookies active as it will provide a better user experience on GraspIO’s Websites.

3.2.2 When You visit GraspIO Websites, GraspIO web servers automatically log typical website analytic data from visitors to our site. This data, which may include details such as device type, browser type, IP addresses, site visit length and referral URL. None of this data is personally identifiable information, and is used for systems administration, detecting use patterns and generally improving customer experience.

3.3 GraspIO sees and logs non-personally identifiable data when You use GraspIO Services. GraspIO logs this data in our system and stores it on Third-Party servers.

3.4 Information provided by third parties

3.4.1 At times GraspIO may collect information from Third-Parties that use our Services or Products. They may provide us with Personal or Anonymous Data that we will use to continue to improve our Services and Products.

Section 4: How Data is used by GraspIO

4.1 The data referenced in this Privacy Policy is primarily used by GraspIO to enable You to access GraspIO products. This data is also used by GraspIO to improve, troubleshoot and enhance Products, Websites and Services.

4.2 Email addresses and any other information supplied by You may also be used by GraspIO to respond to emails and requests. In addition, GraspIO may use the data that identifies the Product IDs associated with your account to provide information and technical assistance to You. For example, your email address and device details may be used to respond to a technical support question that You send to GraspIO.

4.3 GraspIO may collect and create anonymous data by excluding personally identifiable information. GraspIO reserves the right to use Anonymous Data for any purpose and disclose Anonymous Data to third parties at its sole discretion.

Section 5: How Data is kept Secure

5.1 GraspIO uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for communication between any GraspIO Products/ Services. This includes any communication between the GraspIO Cloud, the GraspIO Studio app as well as GraspIO hardware products.

5.2 Data collected by GraspIO via its Products, Websites and Services is stored on secure third-party servers.

5.3 Content created (or collected) by You for your projects such as image, audio, and video content along with data such as sensor values, dashboard data, etc. are saved and linked to your account. Any such content is saved on the GraspIO Cloud as per the third-party security standards and deleted after a period of 7 days from creation. This content is owned by you and is not accessed or used by GraspIO.

5.4 User content and integration, transmission through other platforms

Any user content created by You, such as images, audios, videos, and zip files are not password-protected at the time of transmission to other platforms such as email or notifications. Though GraspIO complies with the above security practices and standards for transmission and storage of data, a possibility exists that an unauthorized third-party could discover user content while it is being transmitted over the internet from GraspIO to your personal accounts during the process of sharing or exporting data/user content. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Section 6: When Data is Shared

6.1 GraspIO may at some point have a third-party process or analyze some of the data we have collected.

6.2 When appropriate, GraspIO may share data with entities and persons who are actively doing business with GraspIO and have entered into a contract with Grasp IO Innovations Private Limited. A company of this sort will have access to the data generated by individuals who are users of the product created and sold by said company.

6.3 GraspIO may share aggregated or anonymous data publicly or as described above in section 3.2 and 3.3. We will not share any personally identifiable information. GraspIO will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of GraspIO if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
6.3.1 Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
6.3.2 Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
6.3.3 Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
6.3.4 Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of GraspIO, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

6.4 Service Providers We use third-party service providers to assist us in delivering the Service: these service providers include providers of hosting services, email marketing platforms, payment processors, security/fraud prevention companies. These service providers may have access to your information for the limited purpose of providing the services we have contracted with them to provide.

6.5 If another company acquires GraspIO or our assets via a merger, acquisition or sale, that company will possess the Personal Data collected by GraspIO and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy. In this event GraspIO will give You prior notification by putting a prominent notice on our site before your personal data is transferred.

Section 7: Additional Information

7.1. Exclusions
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information about You collected by GraspIO other than information collected through the Service or the Site. This Privacy Policy also does not apply to any unsolicited information You provide to GraspIO through the Service, the Site, via email, support links, or any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, information posted on any public areas of the Service or the Site, such as forums or wikis, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Unsolicited Information”). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and GraspIO shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, distribute, and otherwise exploit such Unsolicited Information without limitation or attribution. Please do not submit or share any Personal Information via the forums or wikis (or other public locations) that You do not wish others to know, e.g., credit card numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, etc.

7.2. Children
GraspIO’s Products and Services are not directed to persons under the age of 13. Parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s usage of GraspIO Products and Services and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Information through the Service or on the Site without permission.

7.3 Third-party products and services
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Service and the Site. Third-Parties may on occasion offer products or services that interact with GraspIO. The policies and procedures we describe here do not apply to the Third-Party Sites nor is it implied that GraspIO endorses or has reviewed the Third-Party Sites or Services. It is advisable to contact these sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

7.4 Security
GraspIO takes reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect your Personal Information, both during transmission and once we receive it. In addition, information such as Customer Device activity, and your username and password that we request from You on our Site, through our Service or in the GraspIO mobile application, utilizes encryption, such as Secured Socket Layer (SSL) protocol, during transmission over the Internet.

While we take reasonable efforts to guard Personal Information we knowingly collect directly from You, no security system is impenetrable. In addition, we cannot guarantee that any information once it passes through the Service or Site is maintained at adequate levels of protection to meet specific needs or obligations You may have relating to that information.

Further, we expressly advise our Customers not to store or upload any Personal Information or any other information that Customer may deem sensitive or confidential via our Service and expressly disclaim any liability or responsibility for Personal Information and other information that Customers may choose to upload and store on the servers running our Service. It is important for You to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your devices.

7.5 Changes to Privacy Policy
GraspIO may make changes to this Policy from time to time. Any changes we make to our privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate or required by the applicable law, notified to you by e-mail (subject to your authorization to send you emails) or the GraspIO app. When amendments are made, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this Policy.
